My pictures "say" it all!

A few weeks back, I hit a mini jackpot.
I won a giveaway with one little comment over at Eclectic Whatnot's blog
(which is such an awesome blog, btw)

I won the chalkboard photo bubble from PhotoJojo...
and the book Understanding Exposure...
and the amazing (oh, SO amazing) camera strap cover from Eclectic Whatnot herself
(well, her name is Ruthanne, but you know what I mean).

This is just awesome.

I feel the need, not to BRAG, but to showcase these wonderful products, and a HUGE THANK YOU to Ruthanne from Eclectic Whatnot.
I know it was technically random.org that selected me as "winner", but it's still Ruthanne that hosted, sponsored and shipped my winnings.
So thank you Ruthanne!

Check out Eclectic Whatnot's shop HERE.

Look how beautifully wrapped it came.
Truly like a gift.

LOVE!

I'm off to watch the Oscar's.

Do you Remembah?

Last night I was laying in bed, something must have been stuck in my tooth, because I began thinking about old toothbrushes with the gum picks on them.

Then I got thinking of other fun products from the past
(you all gotta know, I'm a huge fan of crap like this)

Surge

Purple & Green Ketchup

Pogs
and their cool cases (tubes or the plastic pog sheets)
Jones Soda
and yes, I know they still are out there.
But they were a BIG deal back in the day.
I used to spend all my pizza money on one of these babies. Sorry Mom!

Slap Bracelets

RC Cola and the GUM they came out with for a while too!

3D Chips
doritos3d.jpg

Inflatable Furniture

Orbitz

Bra Strap Hairbands

Leading on to....Butterfly Clips
Super Mario Kraft Dinner:
Macncheese

Koosh Balls

These cool things (which my friends, are back!)

Pogo Ball
For my sister:

My all-time fave Christmas gift...
MOON SHOES

Little Miss Momma also helped me remember some good oldies.

What fun things do you remember?!
I know I'm missing some biggies here.
share!!

Spring Mantle

This post really could be called "loving what you got part 3" because this was completely done by just tweaking things a little here and there and rearranging where things were in my home to make the mantle completely new!

And springy!

BRING THE FREAKING SPRING.

I'm over winter.
OV-ER it!

The art you see is actually fabric wrapped over a large canvas and stapled.
You can read more about it HERE.

Don't you love this little birdie?
He's so cute.
But his feet? UGLY...so you can't see them.
Picked him up at Dollar Tree!
(yah, I made the drive to the states...just to hit up Dollar Tree & Wal Mart...Target was another hour away and we had three kids with us...so yah...didn't happen!)

Do you have one of these husbands?
please tell me I'm not the only one.

He just does-not-get-it.
But he SUPPORTS it.
Which is all that really matters.

Just don't ask him about painting the walls.
That's a WHOLE OTHER STORY...which will start and end with:
"but there's IS paint on our walls..."
 ah...hahahahaha!

Love ya J :)
you really are the best.
even if you don't get the whole "mantle" thing.

Spring Spring. Bring the Spring!

More of "loving what you got"!

A couple years ago my sister got married and I helped her pick out these super cool metal trees from Ikea as her centerpiece (the table numbers hung from them).

When the wedding was over, we had lots of these little trees left.
Most of the bridal party has some in their places.
Me, well...I have two!

I've used them for so many purposes over the years...

hanging easter eggs on

hanging birthday/christmas cards on

hanging ornaments on

hanging toilet paper on
(ha...this makes me laugh now reflecting on it)

If you have girls, you know what it's like to be overrun by hair accessories
I love them, my girls love them.
We really can't have enough.
We use them all so often, but they can often get mixed up, messy and strewn all over.

So out came the tree to solve our problems.

My husband was so impressed, he encouraged me to blog about it.
Because THIS was apparently worth blogging about.
(I'm going to take his word for it)

I give you:
Accessory Tree
(note this is only to organize the bigger/nicer hair accessories...there's WAY more clippies)

 Here's tree two!
In the girls room.
With little cute ornaments that were gifts & such.

That bookshelf is so full of books
Like two more shelves...full.
My girls would argue that's still not enough.
Apparently books are like hair accessories.

Not to mention the book sling full of them too!

and just a little something because he's cute and it's my blog so I CAN!
and yes,
he's eating a ruler.
and laying on a diaper.
What's it to ya?
